UCONN next up for Iowa State

September 13, 2011 By Todd Kimm

UCONN football coach Paul Pasqualoni says the Huskies need to be better on offense when they host the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday night. UCONN is 1-1 on the season after a 24-21 loss at Vanderbilt. He says they weren’t consistent and productive enough offensively and on defense they gave up too many big plays.

He says their special teams coverage did improve, but it was a disappointing loss. Pasqualoni says the offense needs to be more consistent. He says they have been productive at times, but they can’t turn the ball over and need to avoid the negative plays that have hurt them around the goal line.
