September 23, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

For the second straight week Spirit Lakes goes up against a rated foe as the class 2A fifth ranked Indians visit number-six Central Lyon/George-Little Rock in a district one matchup.

Spirit Lake coach Josh Bolluyt says every week is a battle in the district and there are great players and great coaching. The Indians have relied on a strong ground game that has average nearly seven yards per carry to a 5-0 start. He says the offensive line has done a good job and they have some good skill kids.

Bolluyt says the Central Lyon defense will provide their toughest test so far. He says their front seven is the best defensive line they’ll have seen thus far.

Central Lyon is off to a 3-1 start.
