Victim of Dubuque County farm accident identified

September 30, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The victim in a Dubuque County farm accident has been identified. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says 41-year old Michael Deutmeyer of rural Dyersville was found inside a silo on his farm.

Deutmeyer was working alone inside a harvester silo when he became entangled in a sweep auger, which was being used to clean out the silo.

This is the third fatal farm accident in the Dyersville area in the last three years.
