Prater says Hawks are ready for conference play

October 5, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Iowa senior defensive back Shaun Prater says the Hawkeyes are ready for the start of the Big Ten race. Iowa takes a 3-1 record into the league opener at Penn State.

Prater says the next eight weeks the level of play picks up and they have to play their best.

The defense and kick coverage struggled for much of the non-conference portion of the schedule and Prater says those areas need to perform well for the Hawks to have a chance.

He says they have to play well in all areas of the games and they will have a chance to win.
