A Sioux Center boy was killed in an A.T.V. accident on Tuesday afternoon. It happened at about 3:35 P.M. on 370th Street about five miles northwest of Sioux Center.

Twelve-year-old Dillon Hooyer lost control of the A.T.V. on the family farm and struck a utility pole. The A.T.V. then rolled several times, and landed on top of him. Hooyer was transported to the Sioux Center Hospital by the Sioux Center Ambulance.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital by the Sioux County medical examiner. A five-year-old passenger, Isaiah Murphy, who was thrown from the A.T.V., was not hurt.
