Davenport police are investigating a suspicious death. Police say two people were hunting for scrap metal Sunday afternoon along some railroad tracks in the north central part of town.

What they found, however, was the body of a man near a small railroad bridge. Police say the man has a medium build, appears to be in his 30’s and has brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt and brown casual shorts and had no no identification. Cops say there was no evidence as to the cause of death during an initial examination.

So the cause is being classified as suspicious. An autopsy is being scheduled with a forensic pathologist.
