A Sioux City man has pleaded guilty to selling drugs he got from India to people who thought they were buying brand name drugs to treat erectile dysfunction. Fifty-year-old David Kempema admitted he advertized that he had Viagra and Cialis for sale.

But when Kempema got an order, he mailed people different drugs that he got in India, drugs not approved for sale in the U.S. Prosecutors say he used a fake return address from Costa Rica when he shipped the drugs, to try to mislead customers and evade law enforcement.

Kempema admits he sold nearly $24,000 worth of the Indian drugs to Americans who thought they were buying Viagra and Cialis.

Kempema will be sentenced later. He faces up to three years in a federal prison and a quarter of a million dollar fine.
