Webster County dispatcher charged with theft

A Webster County 9-1-1 dispatcher faces theft charges after an audit found more than $7,700 missing. The dispatcher is identfied as 40-year-old Susan Huss of Fort Dodge.

Agents with the D.C.I. and investigators with the State Auditor’s Office reviewed numerous financial records and related Telecommunications Center documents. The criminal complaints state between July 1, 2006 and January 28, 2011, Dispatch Supervisor Huss did commit theft in utilizing Telecommunications Center debit cards for personal use, personally endorsing and depositing checks that were intended for the Center and withholding cash from other Center deposits in order to deposit the cash into her personal banking account.

Huss turned herself into the Webster County Jail on Tuesday afternoon. She is currently being held on $15,000 bond.
