Cyclones try not to overlook Kansas

November 4, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Iowa State is at home in the Big 12 to take on Kansas. The Cyclones picked up their first conference victory last weekend with a 41-7 win at Texas Tech and now host a Jayhawk team that is winless in league play. I.S.U. coach Paul Rhoads is taking nothing for granted as he says they have talent and the ability to compete with anybody in the league.

Rhoads says he hopes the Cyclones can build off the momentum now that they have played a complete game and they are excited to see how good they can get. Many teams will come out flat after a big win but Rhoads feels the Cyclones will avoid that.

Rhoads says you learn from the good and bad, but the emphasis is to find out how good they can become in the last third of the season.
