Mason City man dies in Franklin County accident

November 8, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A Mason City man is dead after his car collided with a semi in Franklin County. The Iowa State Patrol says 30-year-old Robert Wisman was driving westbound on State Highway 3 about two miles west of Dumont at about 4:30 Monday afternoon, when the car he was driving drifted across the center line and struck the side of an eastbound tractor trailer driven by 42-year-old Kevin Barnett of Kilkenny, Minnesota.

The State Patrol says Wisman died at the scene, while Barnett was not injured. The accident remains under investigation.
