Iowa wins second game 95-79 over North Carolina A&T

November 15, 2011 By Todd Kimm

The teams combined for 43 fouls and 35 turnovers but the Iowa Hawkeyes improved to 2-0 with a 95-79 win over North Carolina A&T. The Hawkeyes never trailed and led by as many as 27 points in the second half.

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery says they want to play a trapping game with the hope that they are better at it than you are. Matt Gatens led the Hawks with 27 points and Eric May added 20.

McCaffery says they were able to outrebound them and score points when they needed and learned some valuable lessons.
