A company that moved into Newton about five years ago is planning to expand and possibly double the 150 workers that are now employed there. Caleris president, Rick Grewell, says they hope to increase the workforce over the next year.
He says they have various levels of jobs, most of which involve technical work. Grewell says they are normally looking for people who don’t have a lot of computer experience as they are going to be training them. Grewell says there are several ways to apply.
He says you can go to www.caleris.com and send in a resume through the site, or you can drop a resume off at the facilities in Newton. Grewell says the Caleris starting wage is between $10 and $13 an hour, and they offer health and dental benefits. Caleris moved into space left vacant by the closing of Maytag.
