Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder says he wouuld like to see a Big 12 Conference championship game return someday. The league dropped the divisional format and went to a nine game round-robin schedule this season after Nebraska and Colorado left the conference.

The Wildcats are 9-2 heading into Saturday’s game against Iowa State and still have a chance to win a share of the league title. Snyder says the championship game set the conference aside in the first weekend of December with only two games being played. He says that brought attention to the conference.

Snyder understands the downside to it and says they had an undefeated season once and lot the championship game and a chance to play for the national title. Snyder says the Wildcats have a tough matchup this weekend against the 6-5 Cyclones.

He says I.S.U. a “tremendously disciplined football team” that is very tough physically and mentally and because of that they stay in games throughout.
