Fredericksburg man charged in fire at lumber yard

December 5, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s office is charging a Fredericksburg man after a fire damaged a lumber yard and a motor vehicle earlier this year.

A release says deputies charged 23-year-old Brandon Daniel Deetz with two counts of first-degree arson, one count of second-degree theft of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident after an investigation into a fire at Superior Building Center in Fredericksburg that also damaged a vehicle.

The Sheriff’s office says Deetz was arrested and booked into the Chickasaw County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance.
