The Iowa State Cyclones will head to the “Big Apple” for a December 30th matchup against Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl. The game will be played at Yankee Stadium.

I.S.U. coach Paul Rhoads says,”It’s fantastic, I don’t know if the kids will appreciate the significance of this event and playing in a venue quite like this one, but I promise you when we get there for the walk through the day before the game they will.”

The Cyclones finished the regular season with a record of 6-6 and will be making a second bowl appearance in three years under Rhoads. “I’m thrilled for these kids who’ve laid it out there on the field week in and week out and have put themselves in the position to get this reward,” Rhoads said.

Rhoads says he is happy that the seniors will get to close out their Cyclone career in a bowl game.
