Iowa State women down UNI

December 21, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Chelsea Poppens returned from a knee injury to score 20 points and grab 14 rebounds as the Iowa State women rolled past U.N.I. 84-57 in Hilton Coliseum. Poppens says it is “feeling pretty good” after playing a game and building back some confidence.

With the win Iowa State improves to 7-2 on the season and sweeps the Big Four series. “These in-state games are very important to us…we just wanted to go to Christmas break on a good note,” Poppens says.

U.N.I. drops to 7-4 on the season.
