The Iowa Hawkeyes look for their third straight victory when they host sixth ranked Ohio State in Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks are coming off back to back road wins for the first time in five years but the schedule does not get any easier.

Iowa coach Fran McCaffey says, “You know what the rest of this league is like. You win two games and feel good about yourself and then you’ve got Ohio State, then Michigan and Michigan State.” He says while the Hawks are playing well they need to continue making progress.

“You go on the road and you play really well and you beat Wisconsin in a place where they don’t loose much, and then to back it up with another road win is terrific. But then again where do you go from here?,” McCaffrey says.

McCaffery says the Buckeyes are difficult to guard in part because sophomore Jared Sullinger is an outstanding passer out of double teams.

Both teams are 2-1 in the league race but the odds are stacked against the Hawkeyes in this game. Ohio State has won 57 straight games against unranked foes.
