DCI releases more details on death of twins in Huxley

January 10, 2012 By Dar Danielson

The state Division of Criminal Investigation has release a few more details on the death of twin babies in Huxley. The D.C.I. says the Huxley Police Department was called on January 7th to check on the welfare of 22-year-old Jackie Burkle.

The report says police responded to the duplex where Burkle lives and learned that she had given birth to twin girls. The girls did not survive and police recovered the bodies of the girls from the trunk of Burkle’s car that was parked in the driveway.

Burkle was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released. The D.C.I. says an autopsy was completed on the twin girls Monday, and the lab results could take four to six weeks. There was no other information released on the case.
