American Eagle will begin twice-daily flights to Chicago from Waterloo and Sioux City on April 3rd. The company will use 44-seat Embraer passenger jets for the flights to O’Hare Airport.

Sioux City’s current carrier, Delta Airlines, previously announced it would end its daily flights to Minneapolis once American Eagle started its Chicago service. Delta has yet to confirm a specific date for the stoppage. American Eagle is also beginning two daily flights from Waterloo to Chicago on April 3rd.

The airline is a regional affiliate of American Airlines and is providing the service under a two-year federal Essential Air Service grant.
