Nora Springs truck driver dies in accident

January 18, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A truck driver from Nora Springs is dead after an accident Tuesday morning. Grundy County officials say 38-year-old Michael Kulish Junior was driving a semi westbound on U.S. Highway 20 at the Junction of State Highway 14 about seven miles north of Grundy Center when he drove off the right shoulder, tried to make a correction, struck an overpass and traveled down an embankment, landing on Highway 14.

Kulish was taken to Covenant Hospital in Waterloo, where he was pronounced dead. Kulish was hauling dead animals in the semi, which spilled out onto the highway, causing the road to be closed for a few hours.
