Two people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting nearly two weeks ago in Des Moines. Twenty-three-year-old Te’Andre Trumbo-Talton was shot to death outside a pizza restaurant on Des Moines northwest side early on the morning of January 7.
Police said he was with friends, picking up food at 3 a.m., when a man got out of a car and fired several shots before driving away. Officers arrested two people last night. Twenty-year-old Damiko Leemon Carr of Des Moines is charged with first-degree murder. Seventeen-year-old Chavez Nash is also charged in the case.
Police have said there was a “dispute” involving the victim and suspects, but more details about a motive in the case have not been released.
