At least two people came close to Mega Millions jackpot with tickets bought in Iowa

March 31, 2012 By Dar Danielson

Early details from the Iowa Lottery show that $108,143 tickets sold in Iowa won some type of prize in Friday’s world-record Mega Millions jackpot. There isn’t a confirmed winner in Iowa of the record $640-million jackpot, but at least two tickets were close,  coming within one number of winning  the jackpot.

One wining jackpot ticket was apparently sold in Maryland. The winning numbers in Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot drawing were: 2-4-23-38-46 and Mega Ball 23. The Megaplier was 3.
