Teenage girls charged with sending nude pictures to Storm Lake man

April 12, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Three teenage girls from northwest Iowa allegedly sent nude images of themselves to a Storm Lake man. All three girls and the man have been arrested.

According to Buena Vista County Sheriff Gary Launderville, the sheriff’s office received a report on February 16th that a Storm Lake man was in possession of several photographs or images of minor girls in various states of nudity. Following an investigation, 19-year-old Alex Case of Storm Lake has been charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Case has been booked and released on his own recognizance from the Buena Vista County Jail, pending further appearances in court. As a result of the investigation, three area girls, ages 16 and 17, have also been charged in the incident. The charges stem from the girls transmitting or sending photographs of themselves electronically to Case.

The three minor females have each been charged with one count of exploitation of a minor, a Class D Felony, and have been referred to juvenile court for further action.
