Former Iowa basketball star Jennie Branczyk has been named the new head women’s basketball coach at Drake. She was an all Big Ten forward for the Hawkeyes when she was known as Jennie Lillis and has spent past two years as an assistant at Colorado and prior to that was on the staff at Marquette.
She replaces former Drake coach Amy Stephens, who resigned after guiding the Bulldogs to an 18-16 record and a second-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
