Cedar Rapids police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex near Kirkwood Community College. A statement from the department says three people were shot. The shooting victims are described as a 21-year-old female and a 22-year-old male who were found at an apartment about 12:39 p.m.
A third shooting victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital. All three victims are reported in critical condition. Police have not identified the victims and say they do not know if they were all involved in the same shooting, or if there were two separate incidents.
Kirkwood College was locked down for a time after the shooting report.
