Arkansas authorities say they’ve arrested a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in north-central Iowa. Twenty-three-year-old David Wever of Mason City was arrested on Sunday after allegedly leading Fayetteville Arkansas police on a chase and nearly running over an officer.

Police say after Wever’s arrest they found in his truck a black cap that said “Police” on it as well as a collapsible baton and a fixed-blade knife. A spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service says that Wever is accused of running a home-repair scam. Wever remains in the Washington County Jail having been arrested on numerous charges in Arkansas including aggravated assault and obstructing governmental relations.
