Tickets available for NCAA track meet at Drake

June 4, 2012 By Todd Kimm

Drake University officials say all session passes remain for this week’s NCAA Track and Field Championships in Des Moines. The meet begins on Wednesday afternoon and runs through Saturday.

Drake associate athletic director Dennis Francois says all-session tickets are available for $85, which is a discount compared to $100 if you buy all individually. Single session tickets for Wednesday and Thursday are 20 dollars and 30 dollars for Friday and Saturday.

Francois says tickets may still be ordered on line or via the phone. Francois says they are confident they will top last year’s attendance of just over 29,300 at Drake Stadium when severe weather delayed the competition on numerous occasions.

Drake also hosted the NCAA meet in 2008 and that year drew a crowd of just over 41,000. The competition begins Wednesday afternoon.
