East Marshall softball opens season at 13-0

June 11, 2012 By Todd Kimm

The East Marshall high school softball team is off to a 13-0 start to the season. Coach Jary Hoskey’s team is ranked fifth in the latest class 3A poll heading into tonight’s visit to arch-rival West Marshall.

Hoskey says it’s a great rivalry and they have not played well the last several times they have played there. Junior Kattie Roseland has been as big part of the offense for East Marshall. She begins the week with eight homers and 31 RBIs.

Hoskey says she has worked in the offseason, coming in to work every day, and he says she has quick wrists that enable her to get to pitches and hit them hard.
