Iowa City woman dies in accident after fight

June 18, 2012 By Dar Danielson

An Iowa City woman is facing charges following a fight and a fatal car accident Sunday evening. Iowa City police say 50-year-old Miranda Lalla and 44-year-old Pamela Gross, both of Iowa City, were involved in some type of fight.

After the fight, Lalla got into her truck and started to leave. Gross was standing next to the truck and was knocked to the ground and run over. Gross died from her injuries.

Police say field sobriety tests show that Lalla was impaired, and she was charged with operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Police obtained a warrant for a blood sample from Lalla and are waiting on toxicology tests to be completed.
