Floyd County man dead after ATV rollover

August 20, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

One person is dead after an ATV accident near Charles City. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV accident in rural Charles City last night.

Sheriff Rick Lynch said that a friend who happened to be driving by the farm pasture found 80-year-old Philip Jensen pinned underneath his ATV. Upon investigation, it was determined that Jensen lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

Jensen was ejected from the ATV and was pronounced dead at the scene.
