August 29, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The names of the pedestrian killed and the driver involved in an accident late Monday night south of Kanawha are being released by the Iowa State Patrol. The pedestrian is identified as 28-year-old Sabrina Reibsamen of Kanawha.

Reportedly, Reibsamen was walking northbound on Wright County road R-35 near the edge of the highway in the south bound lane of traffic when she was struck by a southbound 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Roelofsen , also of Kanawha. Reibsamen was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The accident remains under investigation.
