Investigators have set up an email address for public tips and other information about the case of two cousins who went missing in northeast Iowa eight weeks ago.

The girls, 10-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey and 9-year-old Elizabeth Collins, disappeared while riding their bicycles in Evansdale on July 13.

Charis Paulson, assistant director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, says the DCI, FBI and local agencies still have officers dedicated to the case full time.

“We still get leads and tips that come in every day and we’re continuing to follow up on all of those,” Paulson said.

“We’re just looking at everything we possibly can to see if there’s any small piece of information that will lead us to a resolution in this case.”

The email address for the public to offer tips is: [email protected].

Paulson said the new email address has been used to send additional photos of the two girls and other information to state employees and law enforcement agencies.

“This is an extremely important investigation to all of us. Many of us are parents and we want to keep this story and this investigative effort out in the forefront in the mind of the public,” Paulson said.

The missing girls’ bicycles were found on a recreational trail near Meyers Lake in Evansdale. Investigators have maintained they believe the girls were abducted, but they’ve found few clues as to their possible whereabouts.
