Northwest Iowa man pleads “not guilty” to multiple sex abuse charges

A northwest Iowa man has pled not guilty to 66 counts of felony sexual abuse.Thirty-six-year-old Cory Wernimont of Rembrandt was charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl several times at his home on August 7.

An investigation led to more charges as Wernimont was accused of sexually abusing another 15-year-old girl numerous times over a two to three year period. Wernimont is scheduled to stand trial on November 27.
