An Ohio-based agricultural company is planning to buy a dozen grain elevators in Iowa and Tennessee. The company making the buy is called The Andersons and it’s involved in several ag industries, including: grain, ethanol, plant nutrients, turf and cob products and railcar leasing.

The Andersons is buying Green Plains Grain Company, based in the northwest Iowa town of Everly. The purchase includes five elevators in Tennessee and seven in Iowa in Everly, Greenville, Gruver, Langdon, Milford, Spencer and Superior. Combined, they have a grain storage capacity of about 32-million bushels, 12,000 tons of nutrient storage and more than 130 employees.

The purchase price hasn’t been disclosed.
