One person dead in Scott County accident

November 19, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A man from eastern Iowa’s Scott County died in a weekend crash. The single-vehicle crash took the life of a Buffalo, Iowa, man at about 1 Saturday morning on a rural road between Buffalo and Blue Grass.

Deputies say a pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Jacob O’Connell exited a curve, crossed the center line, went into a ditch and traveled a few hundred feet before striking a tree and rolling over. O’Connell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
