Iowa State women down Drake 87-45

November 28, 2012 By Todd Kimm

Iowa State raced out to a 51-13 lead at the half and rolled to an 87-45 win over Drake in a Big Four women’s matchup in Ames. Hallie Christopherson led the Cyclones with 20 points as they improve to 5-0.

I.S.U. coach Bill Fennelly says his team could not play any better than it did in the opening half as they did not know what to expect from the team after playing four games in 10 days.

Fenelly says his defense played “unbelievably well” and they did a lot of good things in the first half.

Drake is now 1-4.
