A Bettendorf woman will not have to serve any extra time in jail for an extortion attempt against a cast member of a reality TV show.

Forty-nine-year-old Theresa Kay Hunt was sentenced in the Southern District of Iowa to time served, four months home confinement and one year of supervised release.

Hunt pled guilty to one count of extortion. Court information shows Hunt contacted the viewer relations department at the Discovery Network and threatened to release damaging photos of a cast member of the show “19 kids and Counting” unless she was paid 10-thousand dollars.

The cast member was a niece of the Duggars, the parents featured in the show who are raising the 19 kids. Hunt was arrested after she e-mailed the pictures to an undercover FBI agent and said she had more pictures in a box at her parent’s home.
