The Isiserettes Drill and Drum Corps of Des Moines was among the groups invited to march down Pennsylvania Avenue for today’s Presidential Inaugural Parade.

The Isiserettes, a group of roughly 50 drummers and dancers between the ages of 7 and 18, also marched in the Inaugural Parade four years ago. As the group made it’s way past the White House, President Obama and others in his viewing stand stood up and clapped along with the beat.

Just in front of the Isisettes was Iowa Democratic Party chairwoman Sue Dvorsky. She was carrying the Iowa banner. Dvorsky, who’s been the Iowa Democratic Party’s chairwoman since June of 2010, is stepping down from the position. Party leaders are due to choose her successor this Saturday.
