Cyclone women move to second place in the conference

The Iowa State women picked up a big win on the road as they edged 22nd ranked Oklahoma 72-66. Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly called it a a great game and said he was proud of the way his team managed the game by taking care of the ball and getting to the free-throw line.

The Cyclones improve to 9-4 in the Big 12 and move into second place with the win. “We sweep Texas Tech, we sweep Texas, we sweep Oklahoma, those are things, that we’ve had a lot of good teams and we haven’t done that very often. Everyone is excited and they should be,” Fennelly said.

The Cyclones are 18-5 overall.
