Muscatine man charged with breaking in and trying on items at lingerie store

February 27, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A Muscatine man is charged with burglary and theft in connection with a break-in at a Davenport lingerie store. Police say surveillance video showed a man entering the store, stripping down and trying on various items. It also showed a tattoo on his back that read: “Perales.”

The burglar left the store wearing a dress and a blond wig. Police say they identified the man in the video from mugshots. They arrested 24-year-old Jose Angel Perales on Friday. He was released from the Scott County Jail after posting bond.
