Murder charge filed in Waterloo stabbing

March 26, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Police have released more information about a fatal stabbing in Waterloo last night. Thirty-four-year-old Kristi Clark-Richardson of Cedar Falls made her initial appearance this morning in Black Hawk County District Court.

She’s accused of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of 38-year old Keon Dale of Waterloo on Monday night. Police found Dale dead on the front porch of his home. Clark-Richardson told police that she stabbed Dale after he assaulted and tried to strangle her.

An autopsy is being performed at the State Medical Examiner’s office in Ankeny. A preliminary hearing for Clark-Richardson is set for April 5th. She’s being held in the Black Hawk County Jail under $1 million bond.
