Bloomfield man dies in Oskloosa accident

One person was killed Saturday afternoon in a two car crash on the west end of Oskaloossa at the intersection of Highway 92 West and Gateway Drive. An initial report from the Iowa State Patrol states that a 2006 GMC Sierra driven by 72-year-old Marion Vink of Pella was headed west on Highway 92 when it was struck by a westbound 1993 Ford Mustang driven by 21-year-old Zachary Clark of Oskaloosa.

A passenger in the Mustang, 20-year-old Ariel Thomas of Bloomfield died as a result of the crash. Zachary Clark, was injured in the crash. Both Thomas and Clark were taken to Mahaska Health Partnership by Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
