Cyclone softball ready for home opener

April 4, 2013 By Todd Kimm

Iowa State softball coach Stacy Gemeinhardt-Cesler says her team is anxious to open its home schedule. The Cyclones host Oklahoma State in a three game series beginning Friday afternoon in the first regular season game to be played at the new Cyclone Sports Complex.

Geminehardt-Cesler says it’s fun to travel, but everyone is “beyond ready” to be able to play at home.

The Cyclones are 14-19 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12.

The Cowgirls are 24-12 overall and 2-1 in the league race. The teams will also play single games on Saturday and Sunday.
