Fire knocks out utilities, destroys Main Street restaurant in Ottumwa

Fire destroyed a popular restaurant in downtown Ottumwa this morning. The fire happened at the Rancho Grade restaurant on Main Street shortly after midnight.

The fire closed off the busy Jefferson Street viaduct and gas and electricity was cut off to businesses on the south side of Main Street. No injuries were reported and investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
