One person dead in western Iowa ATV accident

Authorities in western Iowa are now releasing the names of the people involved in a fatal weekend crash involving two all-terrain vehicles. The Monona County Sheriff’s report 31-year-old Nathan Derocher and 21-year-old Dalton Brown, both of Onawa, crashed into each other in rural Monona County around 8:50 p.m. Saturday.

Derocher died at the scene while Brown was life-flighted to a Sioux City hospital for serious injuries. The collision remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and Monona County Sheriff’s Office.
