Hard Rock casino proposal chosen for Sioux City

April 18, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission on a 3-2 vote chose the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino proposal today for a new land-based casino that will be built in Sioux City.

The Hard Rock proposal was one of four submitted by three companies. The new land-based casino in the downtown area will replace the current riverboat casino.

The commission met in Council Bluffs.
