Clarion manufacturer plans to expand

A north central Iowa manufacturer is announcing plans for an expansion project. Hagie Manufacturing of Clarion plans to invest $22 million to expand its plant plus upgrading their crop sprayer facility.

Officials with the Iowa Economic Development Authority on Tuesday agreed to provide $850,000 in loans and $1.2 million in tax credits. With the expansion of the Clarion facility,there will be 150 jobs created.

Hagie Manufacturing has been in business since 1947 producing a line of crop sprayers distributed around the world.
