Coe host Iowa Conference softball tournament

April 29, 2013 By Todd Kimm

Coe College will host the Iowa Conference softball tournament later this week. Coe shared the regular season title with Central but earned the right to host via a tiebreaker. The Kohawks should advance to the NCAA Regional no matter what happens at the conference tournament.

Coach Bob Timmons says they’ve always gotten three teams in in the past and they assuem that would happen again. He says his young team has been a pleasant surprise this season. The Kohawks take a 31-5 record into the league tournament.

Timmons says the players and his assistant coaches have done a good job of getting prepare for every game.

Central is seeded second and Luther third in the six team field.
