Upper Iowa adds suites to its football stadium

June 4, 2013 By Todd Kimm

The sale of stadium suites for the upcoming college football season is not limited to Kinnick Stadium and Jack Trice Stadium. Officials at Upper Iowa University are offering stadium suites in Harms-Eischeid for the 2013 season.

The stadium underwent more than seven million dollars worth of renovations prior to the 2012 season. “Now that we’re not new tenants in the stadium any more we’re kind of starting to working up to how we can function in the best possible manner for our fans,” Assistant Athletic Director Brock Wissmiller says.

He says Upper Iowa offers a more affordable experience over a Big Ten or Big 12 stadium. Wissmiller says they did a study and the cost for a family of 4 at Upper Iowa versus a game at Iowa, is about $200 cheaper.

Wissmiller says suites are available for season long or single game lease and 15 game tickets are included in the cost. He says that gets you into climate controlled seating, access to ice-cold beverages and a full buffet. Wissmiller says you can also meet university officials.

Upper Iowa’s first home game of the 2013 season is against Minnesota-Duluth on September 14th.
