A body was found near the intersection of two roads, about five miles south of Fort Dodge on Wednesday and authorities say it’s a homicide.

At about 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon someone called to report there might be human remains in a ditch, west of Otho. Webster County deputies went to the area and found the body.

A news released from the Iowa Department of Public Safety describes the victim as an “unidentified white adult male.” His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner and the man’s death has been ruled a homicide. The news release said investigators “consider the circumstances suspicious,” but neither the name of the victim nor the cause of death have not been released.
